Public Service Announcement

Did you know that the new bottles of Astroglide personal lubricant are in bottles that are also roughly the same size, shape and color of Germ-X hand sanitizer?

Did you also know that it is probably a good idea to double check the bottle BEFORE YOU SEND “HAND SANITIZER” TO SCHOOL WITH YOUR SECOND GRADER FOR A SCIENCE PROJECT???!!!!

Yah.

Smooth move, ExLax.

Company Christmas Party

I’m still on a lot of painkillers for my STILL sucky back, hip and leg, so I have been staying away from the computer. My doctor wants to do an MRI of my leg when I come back from Minneapolis. I think this means I will have to tell Jessie I won’t be able to go bowling when I come out for my visit. Probably a good thing because I think I am the only bowler in history to have bowled a strike in another persons lane! Yah.

Last night we went to the annual Christmas party for Jonathan’s office. It was held at Logan’s nicest restaurant and the menu was really good: sushi and shrimp appetizers with twice-baked potato egg rolls, Miso glazed salmon, prime rib, chicken or steak entrees, salads, and four dessert choices. I got the chocolate torte (Of course).
I usually don’t care for these functions, but Bridgy and Max were there, so it was pretty fun. We also got a huge gift basket, so that was a nice little perk. Overall, it was just a good time. I did have to leave early because I got sick. I guess chocolate torte and percocet don’t really mix well. It was ok, though because I was worn out. I went to sleep at 8:30 and didn’t get out of bed until 9 am!I know these posts are lame and boring and I feel bad about it, but I feel like my brain is wrapped in a pillow. Hopefully, I will be able to post something witty before the end of ’06!

Thing THREE

I don’t know if you caught the comments at the bottom of my Self Portrait Challenge from Tuesday, but there is ANOTHER LORALEE C. that has become friends of this blog!!!!

Can you believe it??

She is from New Zealand, she can sing and also is a massage therapist! I really think this is just the coolest thing ever. I love the fact that she is a Kiwi, but it’s a bummer that the chances of meeting her are now slim. Sigh.

Give her a big Looney welcome!

In other news, I finally went in to the doctor for more help with my back. Thank God for lovely health care providers, Percocet and Steak Chalupas from Taco Bell.
