Fun! I love your set-up. I actually am fortunate enough to have an entire room known as “the craft room” right now…though sadly it is under-used. I love to sit in there or just on my couch and work on crafty things or blogs or do general work. I can’t stand being tied to an office…I teach and I literally can’t grade in an office…I have to be at home or outside or in a coffeeshop. I need that different sort of atmosphere. :-)
I love this setup. (and I left a comment on flikr, but it uses my old screen name. Boo) One day, we’ll get all the accumulated crud from moving family members and I’ll be able to have a nice little corner to call my own, too.
I love it! And I like that it’s out in the open so you have to keep it organized (right?)!
My hubby actually converted a large closet in our den into my home workspace! It already had shelves galore, but he added a desktop for my computer and it’s just deep enough to push my chair in and shut the doors so the kiddos and company cannot see my “organized” mess! It’s on the list of things to spring clean…as it has been for YEARS! My office in the closet works for me! ;D
Sadly, me, my junk, my computer and I, along with a plastic file cabinet are crammed into a very tiny corner of the dining room/school room/craft and art room/computer room. This is the most multi-purpose room in the house. We are all in here, all day long. It makes me nuts, its messy and disorganized and full of junk we have to have in here for school. I don’t know what a better solution would be, but your area looks far more organized than mine, though it does not seem a whole lot bigger! Good on ya for being so organized! Any tips would be welcome!
