I finally got a (rather-inferior-quality-as-I-was-on-my-phone-and-my-bed-faces-a-window) video of Butterlump counting to TWO! (He doesn’t get to three, yet.) (These things take time, ya know!)
HE IS GETTING SO BIG! GAH!!
And since I shared some of the adorable that is my awesome cheeks-of-fatness offspring, I am hoping you’ll forgive me if I am all narcissistc for a moment and tell you about some of the things I have going on right now.
TODAY:
For all my Utah peeps, I am going to be on KUTV (Channel 2) news at noon TODAY (DVR alert!) with my great pal, Chef Bryan Wooley to promote Where Women Cook.
I haven’t been on since with Bryan since I was featured in Parents Magazine last January. (It was so fun! I loved being on and made my ‘family fry up’. SOOO fattening but SOOOO delish!). I am tickled pink that I get to go and cook some holiday goodies (Baked brie in puff pastry and my amazing sugar and spice cocktail nuts) with my great friend and talk about the launch of Where Women Cook. Hope you can tune in! (And yes, I will post a link to the video footage and recipes when I’m done!)
AND I got a SUPER cute new apron from “Saucy Frocks”, which is run by my amazing friend, Erin. (Seriously, y’all will die. SO cute.) (Yes, I’ll post a photo!) (Also? I have a lot of good friends.) (And they are rad.) Roll your eyes to the right and down and you’ll see her Etsy button on my blog. I LOVE her stuff.
Speaking of Where Women Cook, we are featuring Ree Drummond, The Pioneer Woman, on Amuse Bouche this week.

Be careful Loralee, next is high school – then college – then graduation… then butterlump’s buterlumps. Nice to know that you are capturing moments. And I risk my man card here but – that’s the perfect shade of hair to go with that apron. Nice choice. There, I said it – don’t tell any men.
But…
thankfully I get to keep my man card because I have no idea what a Le Creuset French oven is. Or what one might do with it. Whew.
Merry Christmas
When I played the video my little guy came running over to watch and was thrilled to see a baby his age being so cute and funny. It was totally sweet.
Beautiful baby. I am just getting Yebbi to start naming his body parts. Up until now he was all “I’m not playing your games, Mom – games are for chumps!” But you can tell he is ready to talk, so he is starting to think all my sign language and baby games are fun.
No idea how to make your Butterlump say “three”. I am pretty sure you can force a 1 1/2 year old to do anything they don’t feel like doing!
My two and a half year old says ” one? two? two? two? two!” and then gives a high five. Sigh. He may eventually talk. P.s. the apron was awesome, you were totally cute on tv, and the end.
So cool that you were on TV! You look fab! No ideas on getting him to say three. I swear, whatever I want our boys to do or say, even if they’ve done it before, they will go out of their way to not do it!
Butterlump is unbelievably adorable. So precious.

“French oven”???? Well….maybe….doesn’t look like the coals will stay on the lid all that well. Major design flaw that. A Dutch oven is more practical, you can set it on a bed of coals, then load coals onto the top and actually bake in it.
