Christmas came early to my house today. (And my anniversary, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and my next birthday and pretty much every Arbor Day from now until the end of time.)
I wanted a QUALITY leather tall boot. I have a tall, pointy toe, kitten-heel pair of boots in black that are quite dressy, so with this pair I was going for a rugged-yet-awesome boot that I could easily wear with most things, would go with brown or black, and that would last for years and look better as they are worn. (AND fit my left calf, which is much larger than the other, which makes it very difficult to find boots that I can wear.)
And by jove, I found all of those qualifications with Jane “Tall” boots by Frye.
They’re pricey but I firmly believe they are worth it.
They are even prettier in person than in photos. (They look darker in person than they are showing up in these pictures.)
Plus, I can wear them tall, or fold the cuffs down.
I HEART them.
I could wear them every day.
And I probably will.
And sleep with them under my pillow.
I have to break them in, you know.
What???! You can totally break boots in by sleeping with them under your pillow.
MUST I teach you everything, people?

Jealous! I think they’re beautiful but my husband would KILL me if I got them. Plus, I have big calves and tall boots almost never fit. So I’ll be jealous over here and day dream :)
My left leg is badly damaged from a blood clot and is MUCH bigger than the other. I have a very, VERY hard time finding boots that fit. THESE DO. ;)

LOL. Had no idea you were considering buying a pair, but sure! (I actually think they look better in person than in a photo but you’d have to ask Kim to verify!)

Hawt! I love my Frye boots. I do end up wearing them almost every day. I bought them last year and firmly believe that I’ve gotten my monies worth. I heart them.
Oh holy hotness I love them! My legs are s o short though that most tall boots come up too far and look all funky. You go girl. They look awesome!

They are very pretty. I hope they don’t turn into the boots like that episode of Friends where Monica promised to “wear them with everything” and they ended up hurting her feet so bad that Chandler had to carry her on his back and they both forgot about the boots and left them somewhere. ;)

That’s the gift that keeps on giving. I love wearing boots and feel weird on the days I opt for a different shoe. :-) Those are awesome!
Those are eleven kinds of awesome. I’ve always wanted Frye boots, but haven’t been able to shell out the ducats. Bet I’d wear them more than the stupid ridiculously expensive flats I was convinced by a sales lady to buy and HURRRT my feet.
I am still drooling over those boots. If you need me to help you break them in, say the word ;)
This is the second time this week I have read about these exact same boots. The Pioneer Woman gave a pair of those away this week… Love them!
Boots make my heart all a flutter.
I love Fryes. Used to work in a saddlery. And covet them daily.
Frye makes a VERY good product. I had a pair of Fryes for about 20 years. Had them resoled several times. Not sure what you paid for them, but think of it as costing about ten bucks a year over the life of the boot. And good footwear is a must. If your feet are happy, you are happy. If your feet ain’t happy, no matter what else, you ain’t a gwine t’ be happy.
Now, those photos don’t really show the boots well. Could you maybe take a few more minus the jeans? Maybe wearing a corset and riding crop? ;-)
Wrong type of boots for those sort of photos. I don’t see Loralee taking those kinds of photos, though. She’s a Nice Girl.
Other than maybe waders of some sort, or rain boot, there IS no wrong type of boot for that type of photo, Scott.
And Nice Girls can still have a touch of a Naughty Girl in them. That’s what is so nice about them. ;-)

mmmm, love boots :) Took me awhile to come into the love of shoes ( major tom boy growing up ;) ) but now I do enjoy shoes and boots are my fav kind. Those are quite pimp, enjoy!
