Politics can get UGLY.
It tears me to bits, frankly.
I was so grateful to see this personal pledge to stop all the hating on each other from one of my favorite Interweb friends.
(It might seem like a feat but Erin is hugely passionate and outspoken. If she can do this, so can you.)

Loralee, I wholeheartedly agree, but I have to say this — I have led the charge for this for years along with others in the blogosphere and have been mocked and ridiculed by people on both sides of the aisle to even suggest that such a thing is possible.
I’m glad that the Queen of Spain is on board, but it’s not fair to suggest that she is the first political person in the blogosphere to call for it.
Oh, I love and admire you more than my luggage. :) Thanks for commenting, you. No, Joanne, I certainly do not think that Erin is the first political person to lead the charge on that. I have called for civility before and have gotten “the look”, so to speak, for it.
But…Erin admits to name calling and letting it get out of hand, you know? Her debates have gone where yours haven’t online (at least that I’ve seen?) And she very well may not be the first person who has taken it up notches to say “enough”, I just saw it and thought it was something admirable is all. And I am SO for it.
