I woke up and went to my computer to do a quick post and was greeted by a flood of emails and DM’s that my blog was gone and instead showed a WordPress Install page.
Great.
And such a fitting topper to the previous 24-hour-period in which:
My BRAND NEW Nexus one totally died completely on me.
I had icky Twitter drama. Long story short: You make a (juvenile) issue public that hurts and embarrasses well-meaning people? It’s out there for opinion. Don’t get pissy if you throw a public fit (repeatedly) and people (very firmly) express a contradictory opinion to you.
My father told me the song he wanted me to sing at his funeral as he and my mother are now planning it after his cardiology appointment. (He has serious malfunction in the bottom of his heart. This is bad. We’ll know in a couple of weeks how serious it is and if anything can be done.)
My mother called during my 4th of July BBQ to tell me one of my favorite uncles passed away. He lived a kick ass life and he was missing my aunt, who I found out had passed away during the same party 3 years ago. (If it happens again, I may just say we’re done with that party and just buy a pack of sparklers and buy some KFC and eat it on the porch, dudes.)
Then I woke up to my totally borked blog.
Nice theme to the day, huh?
I kind of want to give the universe a robust and choreographed series of hand movements that included several salutes with my middle finger.
Thankfully, the home page of my blog is now visible and I can access WordPress. Though all the pages (Archives, About Me, ect.) are still borked and showing 404 errors. Have no idea why.
But hey, I will take ANY amount of good news today.
Because I feel a bit like trodden-on ick right now.
