Oh, man. I hear ya. I’m just a little bit out of control in nurseries. How many flats of annuals can I fit in my car and strap to the top again? A hundred? Let’s do it!

You are going to have so much fun. I’m envious. We are coming into winter here in a couple of weeks, so the days are getting colder (5C tonight). I won’t be in the garden for a while, unless it’s pooper-scooping! ;D

i see you’ve managed to photograph my mother’s truck once again.

my mother no longer buys flowers for herself. she buys them for my house. i made the mistake of telling her that she could plant whatever around my house as long as she was responsible for it.

i now have 2 hanging baskets, 8 lantana, and random other plants that the deer will most likely eat.

This made me laugh! I made the same phone call Saturday morning :)

  • That is so ME! I get in the greenhouse and loose my mind! Then I have to “splain” to my dear husband regarding my lack of self control. Oh it looks so pretty though when it’s all planted!

  • Beth says:

Purty! Nothing like a bunch of flowers to brighten your mood, is there? Not to mention taking any stress out by diggin’ holes to plant them purty flowers!!! ;)

  • Joy says:

Oh, it will look so lovely when it’s planted! Post some “after” pictures, please?

  • Steph says:

Oh, OH, OH!!! That’s so me and I am SO jealous!! It’s not quite “Spring” here yet, I don’t dare plant anything because it won’t make it quite yet. We have a new house with no yard. Some people see a mess… I see possibility and I can NOT wait to get in the dirt!!

  • Those are gorgeous!
I too splurged a bit on plants on friday, it was pretty fun.

  • Tauni says:

Oh that looks so beautiful! I LOVE LOVE LOVE flowers…I can’t wait until I have a yard I get to plant them in!

  • Jess says:

My mother would plant a stellar kiss right on your mouth factory. Yes. She. Would.

  • Oh goodness! That looks just like the Mother’s Day gift I got myself from the husband :-)

After working in a nursery and bringing plants home all the time, I have a hard time restraining myself anymore. There is nothing like a blooming garden to brighten the day. Enjoy!

  • Scatteredmom says:

FUNNN! Mine bought a motorcycle. Flowers would’ve been cheaper!

  • Lee says:

Ha! My husband just deployed for 9 months and I’m bingeing on flower pots, annuals, and BTVS comics. Flowers are a necessity! Spend what’s left on groceries, I say.

  • I wish you could come for a visit. Since my car accident (nearly 4 years ago), I lost the use of my right/dominant arm. The thing I miss most? Gardening. My yard needs so much work and oh, how I wish I could be out planting again! Sooooooo jealous!

  • Lauren says:

I love gardening! I planted seeds this spring which was a mistake since I NEED instant gratification. If you need help I’m on my way and I’ll bring my own shovel.

  • Suzanne says:

ME TOO. Or more accurately, I buy $200 worth of plants and then hide them in the garden so he won’t know. And when all the pots are suddenly blooming he thinks I’m just an amazing gardener who can make a seed grow into a tree in a week, when the truth is I have to replace half my flowers in midsummer because I killed them all.

  • Susan says:

I have that same problem, Love it!! Also, my husband has to worry about coming home to a wall that has been taken down, LOL…I think he kinda wishes I was a shoe person.

  • Tara R. says:

Gorgeous flowers! I feel inspired… and my hubs is out of town for a few days.
