Sideblog:Pumpernickel Pastrami Panini Sandwich with Rosemary Ale Jus

I was watching The Ultimate Recipe Showdown (or whatever) on Food Network and even though I am totally nauseated, this pumpernickel pastrami panini with rosemary and ale jus sandwich looked so good I about started licking my screen.

Check it out.

When (if) I ever stop barfing?

I AM SO MAKING THIS.

Yeah, but they put a caveat in the description. Someone tell the Food Network that they need to end on a more upbeat note. :)

Good luck with the vomiting… or rather, making it end.

LOL! I was so focused on the sandwich I failed to notice the end. It makes me giggle.

Who knew Food Network could be such a Debbie Downer?

It looks like “This won on a contest show, but we didn’t create it and we want you to know that we’re not responsible if it sucks.”

Um, hello? Going out and getting pastrami and pumpernickel tomorrow. Being weak afterwards will be so worth it. Fargin cold wearing me out.

I saw that episode. it did look absolutely mouth-watering. my husband and I have already planned a weekly trip to TGIFriday’s for the sole purpose of eating all of the URS winners. well, not actually the winners… but their food. although if they taste as good as they cook, why the hell not?!

good luck with the vomitousness. :(

(I’m delurking a day after national delurking day. what can I say – I’m lazy)

I saw that too- the sandwich did look quite tasty- but then again, so does Chef Tsoulakis…

I was so watching that too and told Steve all about it when he got home! I was craving it sooo bad. He thought I was nuts to be so excited of something so random. It looks like heaven to me! I can’t tell you how much you just made my day with that recipe.

Saw that too and was so impressed by all the contestants, but mostly the young girl. She has so much natural talent and I really hope the best for her.

    And Chef Tsoulakis… mmm…

So my spelling of Greek is not so good- turns out is it Psilakis (I googled him) but however you spell it- mmm. I would so rather watch him than Mario Battali who looks like he should wear a hair net over his entire head.

These are nice comments. Just happened to stumble across your blog when I googled my sandwich. And yeah, the show depressed me at the end, too. Haha.

It is a good recipe. Hope you all like it.

    PS Psiliakis is hot.
