What I first noticed when trying to figure out how the ad is sexist, was not the woman, but the objects in her grocery basket. The arrangement of baguette and oranges combine to create a subliminal erection. Subliminal phallic objects are all over advertising too, and I'm not sure what that's all about either. Of course it’s sexist, many advertisments rely on the woman as object to promote some product.
