I need another television show to watch like a hole in the head and yet, I just can’t help myself.

I have just discovered the show, Pushing Daisies, and I have just one question:

Where the freak have I been?

It is fabulous.

Thank goodness there are only 2 seasons thus far because the last time I reacted to a show like this was last year with The Gilmore Girls. I spent 3 weeks doing nothing but watching all 7 seasons back-to-back, guzzling coffee and dreaming of living in Star’s Hollow and being “Mrs. Backwards Baseball Cap”.

Y’all should watch it.

It’s a nifty piece of television.

Ooo, I love that show. It kind of makes me wish they had kept Wonderfalls on the air.

Nothing compares to “Gilmore Girls.” NOTHING!

We will probably get that show in Australia after the 7th season.

    Drives me nuts.

I think we are like 20 years behind in the daytime soaps.

Looks like I may have to do some serious downloading under the cover of darkness… shhhhhhh.

So glad that you found Pushing Daisies. It is fabulous and one of those shows that my hubby and I both like – imagine that ;) Enjoy playing catch up!

    I. Love. Gilmore Girls. I have been watching them since the first season, and I cried when they ended. I have just replaced season one, after an unfortunate incident with a rebellious dvd player. Soon I’ll be replacing season 2 after an unfortunate incident with a rebellious child. lol. THEN. I’m going to watch every. single. episode.

I’m not a huge tv watcher. That is, I am an innocent bystander and the menfolk choose the shows.

That said, there was a show on the other day that looked interesting, where a guy wakes up and it’s 1974. I have to find out the name of the show and go look into it!

    Must look into Pushing Daisies…

It’s adorable, isn’t it? There’s something so innocent about it.

I’ve watched it from the start. By far the most creative thing on TV.

We just purchased season one because we cannot get enough! We have been fans from the beginning and cannot seem to get our friends to understand how incredibly unique andfun this quirky series is. From the narration by Jim Dale to the wordy slight of hand, this is a colorful and sentimental – just for fun, un-bee-lievably clever leap for television.

When I discovered the Gilmore Girls, I dreamt of being a Loralaie (I don’t know how that’s spelled) and have a kick-ass dysfunctional but totally cool relationship with my daughter. *Sigh.

As for Pushing Daisies, yey you! So glad you found the show because it really IS awesome television.

My big deal was not finding CSI until Season 6. And then realizing there was New York and Miami to cover. Many, many sleepless nights and late mornings at work… LOL

I LOVE Pushing Daisies. It’s surreal and macabre sweet and bizarre and all wrapped up in vibrant Disney-esque packing.

I also have a similar problem with television. I don’t really love to watch it. And I don’t watch it–all day long. But kids go to bed, and it’s House or The Office or Pushing Daisies or Numb3rs or just re-runs of That 70′s show. Man, I feel out of control sometimes. And the DVR doesn’t help because I can watch any of these shows any damn time I want to.

Know what my husband and I loved, and no one else seemed to? Cavemen. I thought it was one of the smarter sit-coms out in a while. Unfortunately they seemed to be marketing to a beer-nut kind of crowd.

Ohhhh, we LOVE that show. The characters are great. I mean, how can you not love Kristen Chenoweth? It reminds me so much of the movie “Amelie” with its use of color.

I have never seen that show, or even heard of it. Is it on satellite or local TV?

I JUST finished catching up on the first season. I am enchanted with it! It’s a rare combination of being brilliantly written and beautifully filmed. I want to pick it apart to study both the design and the writing. I rarely re-watch anything, but I want to watch this again and again!

Hold on to it… it probably won’t be on the air much longer. Or at least that’s what I hear.

    avatar Maria says:

Yep, what Bags said. I’ve been a fan since before the damn thing aired and I love it dearly, save the fact that they totally abandoned last season’s plot lines, but I don’t want to lose it. :(

I’ve seen a few people mention it on their blogs, but I’ve yet to actually watch an episode, cuz, like you, I totally need to be watching more TV.

I know! It is just so visually yummy, clever and original in every way- Love it!

There’s another show that rocks (currently on hiatus)called “Breaking Bad” on AMC. It stars the dad from “malcom in the Middle” and is dark, gritty, sad, and completely hilarious all at the same time- I am so hooked and can’t wait for it to come back-

Pushing Daisies makes me believe that floral patterns belong on everything and that eating pie everyday, all day makes you skinny! I love it. It’s a shame that there are talks of it being canceled after this season…
