My primary thought about the election

You know what?

EITHER way this election turns out, HISTORY WILL BE MADE.

And that?

Is effing cool.

That is all.

You had me at “only 5 lines long.”

I’m so tired of the election generated drama, can’t we vote already?

I want it to be February, already.

I’m so sick of it all I want to stick my head in a trashcan.

Plus, the ugliness is the worst that I can remember in any election and it doesn’t look like it’s dying down anytime soon.

Oh Loralee, thank you for not spewing forth a rant! Elections are so nasty in and of themselves, and I just hate reading ugly rants from either side. I know who I’ll be voting for, but I don’t blog for political reasons and I have already deleted several blogs from my favorites just for the crap they’ve written in the last few days!

Thanks for being one of the cool ones.

You’re right. As tired as I get of all the coverage, mud-slinging, speculation and campaigning… it’s good to remember the positive side of this. Thank you!

    @sra

I have to disagree in this case. You may not care for or down right hate the politics of either candidate. Their actions and decisions may rub the wrong way or not work out so well, but at the end of the day either an African American will be our President or a female will be the Vice President of the United States.

For the first time in history.

It is amazing to me and very cool.

OH, come on. This is the funnest election I have ever paid attention to. Okay, its the ONLY election I’ve ever paid attention to. Also, the only one I’ve ever had and actual opinion on. And you know how much I like to ride the fence!!

Hee hee! I know – it would be cool if the election were tomorrow.

I’ve posted about it alot this last week because I have no self control, apparently. But the comment discussions have been really thoughtful and respectful. I’ve been so pleased. I expected to get trounced and trolled all over the place.

It’s nice to read something positive and neutral. But if you blogged about the joy you experienced while watching the “rhythm” of the R-Pubs last night at the convention, I would think that was nice, too. :)

You know what would be even more effing cooler? If I could convince myself to believe anything either side says when it comes to cutting taxes.

After 39 years of experience one thing I know for certain. every time a politician opens their mouth – they have their hand on my wallet.

Yes, thank you for not adding to the plethora of polarizing political blogs here in mommyblogville (daddyblogville too). It is making my brain hurt. How I would love to push a fast forward button to election day so as not to have to hear 24/7 about Michell Obama’s biceps, or Sarah Palin’s cool glasses (they are cool) or how many houses McCain has blah, blah, blah- let me know when it is over-

What’s in February? The elections are in November, and they take office in January.

But really my primary thoughts are how much we the people are going to lose in this election no matter who wins.

It’s a lose lose situation, and not enough people really care.

    Viva la revolution!

I’m not American, but I already ODed on election coverage last year when I was living in California. So now, not so much. It’s interesting to compare politics here and back home (Canada) and the biggest difference I can see is the complete integration of religion into politics. It’s odd to watch sometime, how candidates have to prove how Christian they are. Neither McCain nor Obama come off to me as particularly religious and what they both say about religion seems like a lot of lip service.

Anyway, the history thing is cool. No matter which way it goes, glass ceilings will be broken.
