See my new little button in my “Flare” section? It will be there for the rest of this month. I put it above all my other buttons because I think it is a great idea.
Motherhood Uncensored is one of the most…well…beeeeeooooootiful women. Physically, emotionally she just glows. She is also spearheading something that matters to bloggers: The summer blogging recession. Stats suck in the summer. It’s just the way it is.
However, July has also been a bad, bad month in the blogosphere for real tragedy. Death, cancer, illness, job loss, it is staggering. The internet needs to heal, be perked up.
So? For the month of August, get your nose out of your readers and pledge to CLICK OVER TO THE ACTUAL BLOG. Even if you don’t leave a comment (Though that would be nice), it would help perk people up and give them some needed pennies in their ad accounts.

As I visit people around the blogosphere I find there are many times that I realize that even though at times I believe my life sucks, it really doesn’t. I become humbled as I read all the stories. I like the idea of the blog recession. I do try my best to go through and leave a comment, but admit as July is busy I become a bit lazier. Not now though. Watch out cause here I come!!

I agree, it’s a great idea. It will take some training to remember to click over, but I would love to see people embrace this!

You know (actually, I think you do, I think I told you at our diner luncheroo before I twisted off at my bank), I have never embraced the reader.
I just can’t.
My analogy is this…a reader is like talking with a friend on the phone. It’s great, but nothing like hanging with them at their house.
It’s not the same. If I can’t see your pics and your sidebars and your headers and whatever then the experience is too stale for me.
Eff readers. I stalk old school.

I prefer reading actual websites over reading in my reader. I use the Google Reader gadget on my iGoogle homepage and I love it!
Love the blog – althought I admit I do read it through my feeder – but thanks to Motherhood Uncensored, I’m trying to do better at clicking through!! Keep up the good stuff!

I am quite guilty of reading blogs in my Google Reader. . . my apologies to you ;)
I just joined the Blog the Recession as well. Such a great idea and fun as well. Another fun perk is finding great new blogs to frequent :)
