Sideblog:We’ve all felt like this

Thanks to Velveteen Mind (who is all kinds of awesome) I read this post by The Bean.  It is almost exactly, exactly how I felt last year as I read about everyone getting ready to go to BlogHer.

Everyone who blogs feels or has felt like this. I really enjoyed it. (Plus, she referred to Backpacking Dad as the hot guy in high school, which made me love her even more, because he is also all kinds of awesome.)

It’s a great read.

i just read her post! i agree…we’ve all felt that way. i can’t attend blogher…the cost of a trip from turkey to sanfran would totally break the bank, but i have wondered if i would go if i was in the states. i don’t like meetings…conferences…stuff like that, but i think getting together with the girls would be all kinds of awesome. i also would be one of the clueless ones…i don’t know who most of the cool kids are, and i certainly wouldn’t recognize them at a conference! yeah…i’m that kid!

Wow. You are fucking awesome. Thank you so much for the shout out (I really hate that term but I can’t think of anything else to use to describe that particular action). I’m REALLY glad you enjoyed my post and found that you could relate.

    Viva la revolucion!!

So not “the hot guy in high school”. :} I played the baritone in the band, sang in every school production, acted poorly, got good grades, and was shunned by the rowing team (yeah, we didn’t have a cool “football clique”; we had rowers). Plus, I was shy as hell.

But all of you ladies talking me up is going to my head and I’m starting to forget what high school was really like.
