Blah, blah, blah…(Hey, it’s 1:00 in the morning. You REALLY expect me to come up with some witty or relevant post title? GOOD. We’re all on the same page, then.)

June 18, 2008

Thanks for the bloggity advice, everyone. I think that I have come up with some good ideas to see if they balance my life a little better. I’m sorry if it came off as whining…just know that I am damn grateful to be read by so many. In a lot of ways this is not a bad problem to have.

I’m dead tired. It’s 12:30 in the morning and I just got home from my final dress rehearsal for Throughly Modern Millie. I open on Thursday. I really hope that it goes well. Tonight’s rehearsal kinda sucked a duck. I forgot my lines, I tripped and fell on a piece of set, I kept moving out of the spotlight and the lovely finger waves that I was supposed to pull off ended up resembling buckwheat with sideburns. Of course, a bad dress rehearsal usually means a great opening night so am not worried. Well, not very much anyway.

I have had to buy some odds and ends for the show, including a pair of shoes that I’ll be reimbursed for because apparently, no one in the history of this theater has had boats for feet. (I’m a size 10, in case you were wondering. I will also state that it is the ONLY time I will have “10″ associated with me. You HAD to be thinking that, too. Right? Right??)

Anyway, this predicament has forced me into stores.

Which means that I have shopped.

First? I found a handbag.

You may remember the massive disappointment that was the ruffled bag that ended up looking like crapola (and was designed by Jessica Simpson. The final nail in the coffin, I’m afraid.). It was my Mother’s Day present and I have been looking ever since for one that I like better.

I found it today.

Voila:

While it looks more gold in this photo it is a mellow brown color. It is a bit shiny, has a LOT of hardware that can totally double as defensive weaponry, and I kind of feel like I should be on the back of a Harley when I’m carrying it. Coincidentally, the title of the purse is “Biker Babe”, a fact that I was unaware of until I had it at home. It’s made by someone named Kathy van something. I LOVE it.

I am also undergoing something that is fast becoming a sickness.

Wedge shoes.

Remember the cute shoes I got for BlogHer? The brown polkadot wedges??? Here’s a reminder.

Yes, well, two more pairs have joined the family since then.

The adorable pink wedges with tiny flowers and pintucked fabric all around the edge.

And since I had brown and pink, I HAD to have black, right?

I need to stop! Gah!!

More than that, though, I need to SLEEP!

Night!!!

Stumble it!
