Thanks for the bloggity advice, everyone. I think that I have come up with some good ideas to see if they balance my life a little better. I’m sorry if it came off as whining…just know that I am damn grateful to be read by so many. In a lot of ways this is not a bad problem to have.
I’m dead tired. It’s 12:30 in the morning and I just got home from my final dress rehearsal for Throughly Modern Millie. I open on Thursday. I really hope that it goes well. Tonight’s rehearsal kinda sucked a duck. I forgot my lines, I tripped and fell on a piece of set, I kept moving out of the spotlight and the lovely finger waves that I was supposed to pull off ended up resembling buckwheat with sideburns. Of course, a bad dress rehearsal usually means a great opening night so am not worried. Well, not very much anyway.
I have had to buy some odds and ends for the show, including a pair of shoes that I’ll be reimbursed for because apparently, no one in the history of this theater has had boats for feet. (I’m a size 10, in case you were wondering. I will also state that it is the ONLY time I will have “10″ associated with me. You HAD to be thinking that, too. Right? Right??)
Anyway, this predicament has forced me into stores.
Which means that I have shopped.
First? I found a handbag.
You may remember the massive disappointment that was the ruffled bag that ended up looking like crapola (and was designed by Jessica Simpson. The final nail in the coffin, I’m afraid.). It was my Mother’s Day present and I have been looking ever since for one that I like better.
I found it today.
Voila:
While it looks more gold in this photo it is a mellow brown color. It is a bit shiny, has a LOT of hardware that can totally double as defensive weaponry, and I kind of feel like I should be on the back of a Harley when I’m carrying it. Coincidentally, the title of the purse is “Biker Babe”, a fact that I was unaware of until I had it at home. It’s made by someone named Kathy van something. I LOVE it.
I am also undergoing something that is fast becoming a sickness.
Wedge shoes.
Remember the cute shoes I got for BlogHer? The brown polkadot wedges??? Here’s a reminder.
Yes, well, two more pairs have joined the family since then.
The adorable pink wedges with tiny flowers and pintucked fabric all around the edge.
And since I had brown and pink, I HAD to have black, right?
I need to stop! Gah!!
More than that, though, I need to SLEEP!
Night!!!

I want that purse!
It’s too cute!
I looove the bag! And I’m glad I’m not the only person buying things based on whether I can wear them to BlogHer.
Missys last blog post..Times it sucks that the internet is the person you tell things to
I just got some denim wedges with white trim at Ann Taylor which I am now sleeping with on a regular basis.

Love the new bag AND the shoes! I never ever wear anything with a heel or wedge because I feel like I am too tall already and Kasey is an 1″ shorter than me and you know how that goes. So I am always envious when I see the shoes other girls get to wear. Those pink floral ones would so be mine.

LOVE that bag biker babe!
p.s. I never did respond to your blog dilemma post…I find myself experiencing blog burnout lately although you’d probably never know it from the amount I spew forth on my blog. I just don’t really add any more blogs to my Google Reader account.

LOVE the bag! Where did you get it?
Also, I’m thinking I need to go BlogHer shoe shopping, especially if you’re going to have all these wedges. I’ll need some kind of heel so that I don’t look really shrimpy next to you!

I had a nightmare that I kept getting called “The Wedgie Queen” at BlogHer. Ha!
I did feel a bit of pressure with all the “I’m wearing cute shoes to BlogHer” buttons floating around, but the reason that I bought the other two pairs of shoes? I wear and dance in high heels in the show I’m opening and since I never wear them, I have been wearing nothing BUT heels ever since I got my costuming in an attempt not to trip and fall over myself opening night. ;)
I’m glad y’all approve of the purse. I really, really love it (even though it is a tad heavy due to the chains).
For everyone that it wondering, I got the bag at Ross. I saved over 50% and half of what I spent so I was uber happy about it.
Here is my secret: I NEVER BUY PURSES FULL PRICE.
Or shoes.
EVER.
I love buying good quality items at discount stores. Since I live in Utah VERY few people are “Up to the minute” so it doesn’t matter a frig if I buy last seasons shoes or bags. I love TJMaxx and Ross.
If only Nordstrom’s Rack was less than an hour and a half away. It is mecca. Sigh.
More shoes! Girls say, more shoes! Go for it!

I LOVE the black pair. But alas, wedges make my ankles look link cankles. And my capris already look like ca-pants, so I don’t think I can go there.

I have MAJOR cankles, girl. MAJOR. And I have massive boat feet with finger toes.
I wear them anyway.
:S
I need some wedge shoes. /sigh I need new clothes… /sigh /sigh /sigh
Good luck tomorrow! Is the show going on throughout next week? I would love to come see you, and I am driving home sometime then.

I didn’t even know what cankles were until last year! I wear a size 10 shoe, but hey at least I’m super tall right? I know…my feet feel huge, but I also wear wedges or heels often. Good luck with the play!

I was complaining about my cankles on another blog yesterday. I have big fat cankles.
Adorable shoes and bag!!!
Break a leg!
(and then I’ll steal your shoes!)
That’s it. I’m definitely going to have to get some wedges or heeled shoes because the majority of the women going to BlogHer keep showing these heeled shoes and I am already 5′ 3″ so I have to catch up in height!
;)
The bag is super cute.

i like the bag very much,i want one of this, where can i have it?
I got this bag at Ross.
There’s certainly something to suit the taste of anyone who loves an excellent pair of boots. So, for a day at the beach, you’ll need your flimsy flip-flops, but for a night out on the town? A boot sandal is truly the summer footwear of choice for girls of fashion!
