I have a good friend who has a 6-year-old with autism. He wrote and asked me if I could find or recommend any blogs, message boards, communities that deal with autism. He is looking for advice and some emotional support from other parents that are raising autistic children.
I could Google all of this for him, but before I did that I thought that I would reach out and see if there are any sites that you have been on/heard about or if there is a good web directory out there that he could go to, it would be appreciated. Just leave a comment or link in the comments section. (As a reminder you have to click on the # symbol at the bottom of this post to read or post a comment in my sidebar and when you do it will not show a comment number. It confuses some people.)

I read {A} by Ali Edwards. Her son has autism and she has quite a few links in her sidebar about it.
Erin from statiamin.com works with Autistic children and she did a whole series on Autism Awareness. She also has some links on her sidebar.

Have her check out: http://www.tothinkistocreate.com/
Check out Ask the Sky. I actually know them (not really well, she can’t come out and knit all that often), and they’ve had it rough over the last couple of years, but they’re hoping with some treatments he might actually get better. He’s sweet and cute and repeats just about everything you say to him – so you definitely have to watch what you say. Also, she’s a great writer and most posts dealing with Z have me laughing and crying all at once.

We would like to share with you something that could help. Since autistic children often suffer from problems with their immune system, digestive, and nervous systems (especially damaged transmitters in their brain), they need whole foods with live enzymes that are completely balanced. These foods are in the blood stream within 15 minutes and I have heard several testimonies as to their effectiveness in improving the health of autistic children. I would love to give you more information, please contact us.
there is still no permament solution for autism. we just have to take good care of the kids who are suffering autism.*;.
there is no permanent cure for autism yet, most autism treatments are experimental”"-
