(And dudettes. This is an equal opportunity blog after all.)\
I'm soooo excited. Every year at this time, Neil from Citizen of the Month has an internet "Christmahanukwanzaakah" concert. Bloggers sign up to sing, play, or hum a holiday ditty and post it on the internet for Neil to link to.IT IS ALL KINDS OF AWESOME and sooooo much fun to listen to. It's my first year participating and I think you should, too! GET THEE TO NEIL'S BLOG AND PUT YOUR SELECTION AND JOHN HANCOCK IN THE COMMENTS SECTION!
(And seriously? There are ALL levels of talent so none of that crap about how you aren't musical. I'm still waiting for someone to play the spoons, because THAT? Would rock.)
Lovely photo of the both of you but what is that in his ear? Is it a hearing aid or an earring? Sorry for asking such a personal question, I don’t mean to be rude I’m just incredibly nosy.
Hee! No, it’s not a problem asking. This was taken on Memorial Day weekend 3 years ago and we were target shooting in the mountains.
We forgot earplugs, so when that happens an old “Trick of the trade” is to put shell casings in your ears to protect them from the sound of the guns firing.
Happy Birthday, Jonathan! You are the tallest person with shells in his ears that I’ve ever seen! (Or, maybe Loralee is the shortest person with shells in her ears that I’ve ever seen.)
Heather: YUP! It is today and he is geeking away as we speak.
Angella:It was a really fun day, I have to admit.
Pam:Oh, we have had a huge amount of “Non-happy” as well. Trust me on this.
The Over-Thinker: Ha! Jon is actually standing on a bit of a hill, but he is very tall (6″4). I’m 5′8, so it’s a nice match up physically. I just liked the photo so I used it.
Rimarama: Dude. That show is going to make me tear my freaking HAIR OUT. And yet I continue to watch and watch. Sigh.
Hey! I just shot guns this last weekend, and some people in the group shoved bullets (or casings, but they could have been bombs for all I know about firearms) in their ears, too!

I have them in my ears, too if you look closely.
It totally worked.
