I totally cop to surgically “Reclaiming my bosoms”, but I my jaw dropped open at this new children’s book that explains mommy’s new nose or flat tummy or new breasts to tiny tots.
Does it make me a complete hypocrite that seeing this makes me feel skeeved out and sad? I am not against plastic surgery but dude…

Heh.
I seem to have been spending way too much time thinking about this over the last 30 hours or so.
I don’t think it makes you a hypocrite.
Because: Seriously. Dude.

ok…maybe this should make me sad, but instead i am laughing hysterically at it. i too have had some fixing done…a tummy tuck after 4 c-sections…but i am pretty sure i explained it well enough to my kids so that they understood. no book necessary. i can’t believe that someone thought a book was necessary!

I had the same reaction. I am not against plastic surgery, but gross.

I am really laughing harder than you know….also thinking about the market could be wide open for the “Why mommy and Uncle so and so share a room when daddy is out of town”
Okay…maybe not, but sheesh!

Just buy your kid a Barbie and say, “This is what Mommy’s body is like now.”

Can’t WAIT until I’m done breastfeeding babies so I can, as you say, surgically reclaim my bosoms. DJ can’t wait either.
BUT, I will definitely NOT be buying that book for the chillens. Even if I do get my nose done at the same time. ;0)

That’s hilarious. And the name I signed this post with? That’s for Heather’s benefit.
