My friend, Chelle, (She who trekked across England and Scotland this fall with me) is leaving on Sunday to hike for two weeks across the glaciers of PATAGONIA.
(Yes. Patagonia. Where the real Dread Pirate Roberts has been living for the last 10 years as a king).
We’ve been playing phone tag and I haven’t been able to see her in awhile. I miss her dearly and can’t wait until she’s back to hear about her adventures. (Dude. Having someone who hikes The Great Wall and goes to Africa on humanitarian missions is ALMOST as good as going there yourself!)
She is someone I admire immensely. I WUV her. She is my adventurous food and life friend. She likes my wacky, I like her discipline. We work really well as a team.
I try to respect her privacy and so I don’t write about her nearly as often as I would like, but DANG, she rocks. If I knew it wouldn’t get me killed I would put a huge photo of her on a main post with little hearts and flowers drawn on it. However, she is freakishly strong and WOULD kick my ass, so I will compromise by typing a sideblog to say I WILL MISS YOU, FRIEND.
I loved this. My very best friend in all the world is a frequent commenter but I’m fiercely protective of her so I don’t post about her as often as I’m inclined to. If it were up to me I’d name my blog, “Natalie’s my best friend.”
