You do have a very good point about the local elections. I have no idea who the mayor of my city is. But then again, I'm renting (no property tax), so it doesn't effect me so much. I've never missed an election, but the Presidential seriously bugs me. In some ways it has less impact on my life than local elections (Which always boggles my mind.
