I need to clarify because I think that I hurt some feelings with my post about Blogging. I always feel bad when I find out that I have spoken off the cuff and hurt someone’s feelbads (I do it a lot. Sigh.).
It is not intentional.
I don’t think less of any blog because of the template or platform that they use. No, not at all. I think I am one of the least “Snobby” bloggers on the planet.
What bothered me Minima Black is that I COULDN’T CHANGE it. I hated my lack of ability. Plus, Blogger was REEEAAALLLY rough at the time. It gave me a ton of headaches. WordPress gives me a lot less hassle.
I read the blogs I do for a variety of reasons. Some have hundreds of commenter’s and others have just a few. I am really sorry if I made anyone feel inferior. It was not my intent. I love you all.

Loralee, I think people are way too easily offended sometimes! Don’t worry - I don’t think your comments were hurtful - you were just sharing your experience!

Seriously–people were upset? Don’t worry Lo, we all know you were talking about your own frustrations, and not insulting other bloggers.

Your blog is your blog and you can say what you want. You should not have to worry that people who use minima black will be offended. Anyone who reads your words, knows that you are not a blog snob…it their issues not yours. Feel better.

I like the KISS method with blogging. Or if you’re going to make it more complicated, make it easy to understand. I like your blog, LL. You have main posts, then side posts not substantive enough for a main post. It’s very easy to read.
I get annoyed with blogs (and webpages, for that matter), that use lots of bright, conflicting colours that really just hurt the eyes. Or white writing on a black background. It may look cool, but take a read through your blog. If you have trouble, your readers aren’t going to bother.
I went through a lot of this when I designed the website for my mother’s business. It was a lot of testing, changing, revamping, etc, until I came up with an easy to manage and navigate format. If you want people to pay attention, you have to make it easy for them.
