Opening night was great.
However. They cut my bio in the program. Not a big deal. Expected since I’m just in the chorus. My beef? They cut out all the COOL things I’ve done and left in things like my full scholarship and college credentials.
Does that seem weird to anyone but me? Like doing the college opera program and recording some CD’s is cooler than soloing at the Kennedy Center or with The Vancouver Symphony, or working with people like Moses Hogan and Charlotte Church or the leads I’ve had in different productions, etc. etc, etc.??
It isn’t on the level of finding of, say, finding out that they no longer make Diet Coke, but still…it’s a tiny bit annoying.

That is weird. I don’t see why anyone would leave out stellar accomplishments like that. What is the deal?
That bites. I can’t even talk about my feelings about the people who make the theater programs. Well, look at the bright side…maybe people will think you’re just a young college student. Maybe this is the portal to another world where you can start your life over back in college and do everything over again, but with the knowledge you have now. I’ll stop there. Give me a break. It’s too early for me to be thinking clearly.
Be a DIVA and ask them to change it- it won’t hurt, I suppose, just to ask. Ok, and I just have to say, that I don’t really follow opera at ALL, but I totally have heard of Charlotte Church- that’s HUGE!
That is annoying. Those things are way cooler than the college stuff. Especially cuz half the people in the show have the same college stuff and the cool things are what set you apart. Lame.
That is lame, but at least you have super cool credentials that someone could leave out. And I have super good news. Craig is taking me to the show tonight as part of our 1st anniversary celebration!
Maybe it’s because you’re ‘just in the chorus’ and didn’t want to make the lead look bad.

Conspiracy. This is so that those in power don’t have to answer all kinds of awkward questions about why they cut you from Uncle Tom’s Cabin. It’s another example of the MAN keeping us DOWN!
