I bought this book DESPITE its raging popularity. I still cannot believe that I did it. I am not fond of jumping on the trendy bandwagon. I take great pride in the fact that until now, any “Oprah Bookclub Book” I have read occurred well before it landed on her list. Still…I just had a feeling about this book and it looks like (So far) I was totally and completely right. I love the voice that this author has. It definitely gets a “Thumbs Up” rating from me.

I’ve wondered about it and saw her on Oprah, but I was still kind of hesitant. Maybe I’ll check it out.
Did you see it on oprah? They had the two part series? My cousin was on the second part. She was the one that went to Nepal (or wherever it was) to find her ‘enlightenment.’ I just can’t bring myself to buy it.
And “Pillars of the Earth”? I read that in college.
