I have my DVR set to record my favorite Christmas TV special of all time tonight, “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”. I never get tired of it. The more I watch it, the more I realize that my friends and family freakishly resemble the cast of characters.
Take a look for yourself:
Brian as “Herbie the Misfit Elf”

ME as “Whiner, Redhead, Misfit Doll”
![]()

Christopher as “Rudolph”
James as “Coach Comet”
Bridgy as “Hot Reindeer Clarisse“

Michelle as “Bumble with retarded star”

And last…the misfit Jelly Squirt Gun reminds me of my brother, Rhett…I’m not really sure why.

I’m going to see if I can brush up on my reindeer games and get the hell off of “Misfit Island”.
I’ll catch y’all later.
*(This is taken from one of my favorite posts of all time. I posted it way back in the day when no one but family & close friends were reading and I thought I would revisit it for you.)

could be worse. you could be sitting in front of the tv going, “wow! that dude looks just like my uncle charles…oh sugar plum fairies! that lady that set her ex-husband’s house on fire shows a strong resemblance to my aunt Linda!!!” but since you don’t live in rednecktopia the chances are slim that that will happen.

Such a funny post. I’ve been trying to watch more christmas programs this year because I really want to get in the Christmas spirit. I love that you found a character for your friends and family. This post made me laugh.

Shocking resemblance. I was going to say my favorite show is The Grinch but fear who I might be cast as in that reenactment.

Funny post. Rudolph is one of my favorite Christmas specials, too (along with A Charlie Brown Christmas), but I always forget to watch it. In fact, yesterday afternoon I was decorating the tree and thought I should look online to find out when it was on this year. Then I forgot about it until 7:50. When there were 10 minutes left. Bah. It’s probably for the best. I had work to do anyway.

That is HILARIOUS!
We actually have a Bumble doll. I found him at Dollar General here (don’t know if you have that store!) Any way, he lost a foot last year but my 5-year-old still loved the cheap Bumble doll. He’s a permanent resident amongst her 5,999 stuffed animals.
