The Good: I GOT A PHONE!
The (Possibly) Bad: Apparently, there is a “Silent Recall” on it. I found this little gem out 5 minutes after I got home. It wasn’t mentioned by any of the staff at the Sprint store.
This leaves me (Possibly) saying ***SuckasuckaSUCK!
In the end I went with a newer version of the phone I already had. Why? Well…It was cheap and had everything I needed the most , which is good sound and battery life.
I don’t want a phone with a million bells and whistles (Unless I can get something like a Blackberry. Which I can’t). Something this phone has that my other didn’t is Bluetooth. So now I can get a headset which will be so much easier. Even with the possibility of it being defective due to the recall, I feel pretty ok about the decision. I was pretty happy with my phone before I killed it.
I loved reading about the different “Phone demise” theories that were thrown out, so I’ll give you the story. I…um…took the sheet off my bed without taking all the pillows off. My phone was under it and it got tangled in the sheets. Stupid, I know, but I mean, really. Who checks their sheets before washing them? Please don’t tell me it’s everyone but me. I already feel like Sargent Stupidhead. I am just grateful that it was NOT the “Drop in the toilet” scenario. I would have died. ACK!
I did purchase product replacement insurance. Lesson learned.
Now I have to re-enter my contact page. It sucks because I can’t retrieve them all from my own phone and I know so few numbers off the top of my head. It’s going to be quite a task.
