“Jon? Can I talk to you a minute?”
“Sure. What’s up?”
“Well, I know we went over some things already but I want to know if you and I could go over some goals together?”
“Ok, that sounds like a good plan.”
“Why don’t we go with long-term first. What’s one thing you would like to see us accomplish at the end of a year?”
“I’d really like to see us be able to get out of bed.”
[Insert Loralee Bink. Blink. Blinkity-blink-blinking, HERE]
“Uh…Ok…I was hoping for something a little more than that, but I can see how it’s hard to do a lot of time. So…Getting out of bed and what else?”
“DEBT, honey. Getting out of DEBT. NOT BED.”
“Oh..Ahha…Um…Er…Gulp.”
[Insert Jonathan guffawing loudly and mercilessly at Loralee's expense for far too long HERE]
“Honey. How on earth could you possibly think that one of my long term goals is to be able to get out of bed?”
“Well, it made sense to me. I’m super hot!”
“True.”

Woops!
Also.
Bahahahaha!
goals suck.
i’d rather stay in bed all day long than bother to set any goals.
lunch tomorrow! yeah! i haven’t seen you forever.
xoxo
Fantastic. :)
Best… Goal… Evah!
LOL… this made me smile!
Tee hee.
I suppose it depends on how comfy your bed is too..
Jess-LUNCH TOMORROW! YAY!
Apples-My.bed.sucks. We have no storage space, so my hubs built our bed to have enough clearance off the floor for big storage tubs. We have no boxspring, it just is a massive platform (With a purchased headboard.)
It works great for Jon. He loves a firm mattress…He could push down on a cement slab and say that it has too much give. :S
Most of our family goal-setting sessions are about that productive!
I totally choked on my sandwich! Your “I’m super hot” comment is seriously funny!
Oh, and you win the movie quote contest! Where do I send the tomatoes? :)
Hot- Yup, yup and even more YUP. (You’re “Hot”, too! Heh.)
Cecilly- “That John Denver’s full of shit, man.”
My long term goal is to get out of bed as well, but I don’t think it’s going to happen today. Maybe tomorrow?
I’m one of those people who really don’t think about nor plan for the future. Even a week from now. Mr G. was asking if we should go to the Grand Canyon next weekend and I was all “Hmmm.. I don’t know. Let me think about it.” I need to be more decisive.
Dougie-HA! (Insert me reply to you in my previous post regarding you coming to Utah to live with me, here.)
:)
sigh – that actually is one of my long-term goals half of the time. I wasn’t shocked a bit.
Oh man Loralee, that’s some good stuff! :D
Goal setting is very important specially if you want to plan long term.’:~
sometimes i am having some problems when setting goals.;~
