Welcome to my great-niece! (See my Flickr set for more photos)
“Ellie Nan”
8/14/07
8 lbs. 15 oz; 21/5 Inches
She has tons of curly blond hair, long fingers and toes, is round and perfect and I love her to bits. I was there at the hospital for almost everything. My niece did an amazing job.
It was a very.long.day.
The situation is very complicated and it could change from moment to moment, so I am going to refrain from writing about it right now. All I know is that I love Ellie and I love her mother, my amazing niece, who is braver than I can say.

Congrats. My brother and his wife had their baby on the 13th. As of right now though, still no name! They need a name for the birth certificate to leave the hospital today though, so hopefully they decide quickly. Ellie Nan is a cute name.

If you were able to stay conscious in a hospital then I call that something.

Beautiful picture! Enjoy the moments. My little sister will be having her baby any day now. It breaks my heart to not be able to be there with her.
You can always call me if you need me.

tj-She thanks you right back.
Holly-Thanks for the confetti. That was an awesome touch.
Pete-Ug. It was so long I almost didn’t make it. Best thing about hospitals besides great drugs are the warm blankies they give everyone that is cold…
Apples-I know. It worries my heart.
Angela-Thank you!
Jill-Yah, she is named after “Nooncy” because her name is Nancy and we call her Nan a lot.
Hairy-her skin is gorgeous. Much better than any of my kids when they were born.
Rachel-I know. I heart ya.
Holli-I totally appreciate the email and would love to talk. I just need to sit still for more than 10 minutes at a time
Amber-Thanks! My husband LOVES pointing out the “Great” part of my title. It makes me feel like wearing depends and eating prunes.
Litle Miss-I know. Babies are just my FAVORITE.
