I wanted a really natural photo today. I didn’t even brush my hair. This photo has zero editing except for crop and desaturation. There was no need with the fabulous light that bounced off the mountains of fresh snow and then came pouring through my window. Best lighting and natural editing in the world, that. You would see a lot more dark circles and imperfections without it.
Now if I could just get my actual WINDOW to not completely suck ass and stop pouring in freezing air and snow because it is completely broken, we would really have some progress. Necessity is indeed, the mother of invention.
Actually, I just stole the idea from Ma Ingalls in the “Little House on the Prairie ” books. You know, the one where they are snowed in by that big-ass blizzard where they stuff the cracks in the walls with rags to keep out the wind and snow, they each eat like one cornflake a day and have to twist hay into sticks to burn because there is no wood or food?
Alas, the broken window will probably have to wait until the rest of the house is done. I’m already sick, so cold air streaming through where I type won’t really matter one way or the other, methinks.
I’m off. I need to go find Pa Ingalls and have him whittle me a new whatnot before he has to brave the snow and ride into Sleepy Eye with Almonzo to get more wheat and Quinine for Doc Baker…
