Many, Many, Many more…
When I REALLY decide to do something, it is all or nothing. Just the way I’m made. I feel kinda bad for the ‘people’ this happens to. While it can be great (I do do some pretty darn amazing things for people I love). It is just a lot.
If you’ve never basked in my “GLOW”…this is pretty much a great example:
Yes. I am Sauron…
At least my husband is ok with “some” of my obsessions.
Heh.

Thanks for including me on your list–I hope you don’t outgrow me!
Amy
Never!
It’s more like normality. I liken it to drinking orange juice instead of trying to eat it in concentrated form out of the can!
:)
Loralee,
I read your blog for the first time this morning and I really enjoyed it. Everyone needs a place to “vomit” (your word, not mine!) about their personal failures and successes because bottling it up inside never fixes anything.
I was also surprised to find out that coffee is a “no-no” for mormon’s… thank god it’s not for catholics (even a non-practicing one like me… I hear you on the guilt factor). Feel free to check out my latest post on spanish coffee… although I haven’t been blogging very long at all, and it isn’t nearly as interesting…
Ah yes, the dreaded “Stand By Me/River Phoenix” obsession. I could have gone the rest of my life without ever being reminded of that.
I see that you’ve conveniently forgotten to include the “Phantom of the Opera/Christine Daae” obsession. We named the damn cat after CD, how could you forget that one?
linny
I have had the *ahem* joy of witnessing many of these obsessions or at least hearing about them. (My favorites are me & soup!)
Oh, you also forgot Spicer Cheese Doritos. I have shared many bags of those with you but I never could put my heart into it the way you did!
MAN! I guess my only excuse is that I have a lame memory…If anyone thinks of any other obsession they have weathered with me, feel free. P.S. Linny…at least the River Phoenix thing inspired a whole month of being a vegetarian…I was also 12 at the time. Thank you for not bringing up “Star Wars”…;D
Glad to meet you, Erin! Thanks for your post! I will mosey on over to your blog when I get back from work in the wee hours…:D
P.S. Erin…that cracked me up! My sister in law Nancy (“Nooncy”) was raised Catholic. Every time I try to ask her a question she responds that I have obviously mistaken her for someone who paid attention in Catholic School. She’s a gem!
Loralee,
I’m glad I stumbled on to your blog (yet another great way to procrastinate… flip through the blogs until you find one that interests you and then read every single entry… I am a professional procrastinator). But seriously, I was intriged by your list of things that you have become obsessed with… and even more so when I saw one of your friends comment on the lack of Phantom of the Opera / Christine Daae… when I was about 12 I went to see Phantom with my mom and brother and I was hooked. I learned how to play every song on the piano and 2 friends and I put on a mini-play for our parents… I played Christine.. and SANG… I can NOT sing… I should look for the picture… we dressed my one friend up like the Phantom… it was great… so needless to say, I share that, and quite a few of your other obsessions.
How about… making your friend take “photos” of you. HAHAHAHA. How many um, /cough /cough/ photos have I taken in the last few years.
True…I have turned you into a Loralee Photo Whore. Sigh.
At least that fab one you took got a perfect score on hot or not!!!!
I still think the ones of the both of us are the coolest…;D
I wish Katie didn’t hate my guts or I would ask her for copies. Dang it.
Erin…that ROCKS. I CAN sing, but I credit a lot to that musical. I taught myself how to sing WELL by imitation.
Christine Daae is the bomb.
I HATED THE MOVIE THEY JUST RELEASED THOUGH. GAG GAG GAG
My friend and I spent the entire evening clutching each other in HORROR.
P.S. It looks like we may have to add “The Blogs of Bemidji” to this list. Sorry guys!
Excuse me? HOW could you leave off THE TITANIC?! THe movie and the ship? I thought that one would never end!
I posted about that on your movie character lookalike entry.
Evil Smile!
