Tonight was “Movie Night” at New Dawn Technologies (aka-Where Jonathan is Employed). We are celebrating the 3 days of work it took for him to install this projector-thingy in the ceiling. Apparently, there are many cords and switches and technical doo-hickeys that are difficult and impressive to assemble. I’m so proud of you honey!
We were all supposed to bring our own “treats”. Max was very prepared….
I’ve never seen the auditorium before. It is really cool. It took me back to my college days…Except they have tons of awesome, comfy chairs.
Ignore the clothes. I am impossible at them-can’t be bothered. As my brother, Rhett, says, “I love what you’re wearing…it’s so homeless, hobo-something cool”.
Sorry, Tim Gun. Heidi Klum. Andre…
The new building is HUGE. Like, 40,000 sqft on one floor. I keep thinking I’ve seen it all, but NO…
I needed to go to the cafeteria in the middle of the film. I was seriously afraid I would get lost in the dark and not find my way back. Luckily I’m a resourceful girl. Hey, I learned a thing or two from being in the opera, “Hansel and Gretle” (Wicked Witch…Type Casting). Yes, I actually used it.We watched the amazing classic, “The Princess Bride”. I LOVE THIS FILM. I am also such a romantic that I still believe in the Fairy Tale. There are SO many good lines and scenes. I will refrain from too much quoting or gushing, but some of my favorite lines seem a bit obscure:
“It’s been 20 years now, and I am starting to lose confidence”, is a favorite.
“You mean he WINS?! Jesus, Granpa! What did you READ me this thing for???!”
Growing up, I always thought the lamest part of the movie was, “Farm Boy, fetch me that pitcher”. WTF? It’s like, 2 inches from her head!!!!
THEN I hit puberty and understood.
STILL the lamest part of the film…
