This song is simple, sweet, and accompanied by piano and cello. It reminds me of me as a child, listening to my Dad’s opera and entertaining myself in my own head.

Abba-I can’t even select which ones, I love so many.

I remember “Mama Mia” with friends. “Chiciquita” is a favorite, although that Fernando song is ruined for me because of Mr. Drug Dealer who loved my “Fucking Eyes”. BLECK!

Beethovan Mass in C was my solo debuet with the Honolulu symphony. I was getting ready to rehearse and a freaking lizard jumped on my music and scared the piss out of me. Apparently it climbed up my leg. It is a GREAT Mass that should be done more. Who doesn’t love the 5^th?

He’s the man. It reminds me of my accapella group in college. That and high school “And So it Goes” and “Lullaby” are my favorites.

The most challenging opera role of my life. It’s about 200 pgs long. I was in 190 of them and it was atonal (Meaning, what I was singing had no notes in common with the accompaniment). I did get to sing this beautiful duet with my character’s Daughter and it was beautiful.

Carl Orff-Carmina Burana

Loud, clashing and powerful. This is rage music for me. I am afraid that my idea of “Rage music” is pretty pathetic. Ask my friends.

Carpenters

Karen Carpenter has the most gorgeous, natural female voice ever put on this earth. Plus, she has some sweet, low, honey notes in her music that I rock on.

Chicago

This group is pure memories for me. “Hard Habit to Break” could be my anthem.

Chris de Burgh

Known for “Lady in Red”, but I don’t like that song. “Carry me” and “For Roseanna” are his best pieces. Very sweet.

City of Angels

This soundtrack just turns me on. Sorry. I won’t get into it. Although, try being caught by a policeman making out in a cemetery with “Unforgiven” playing loudly on your CD player. Long story.

Copeland-Rodeo, Appalachian Spring

The “Beef” song. I love Aaron Copeland. He is rustic and talented and amazing.

Damian Rice- I remember

Formerly “Belle and Sebastian”. This song is awesome in it’s duality. ”Want you here tonight want you here. Cause’ I can’t believe what I’ve found.” I am also a sucker for accents.

Cheesy, but I love him. “Auld Lang Syne” , “Run for the Roses” and “Longer” (Of course).

Debussy-La Mer, Claire De Lune

Who doesn’t love Claire de lune. The most romantic piano piece ever.

Dixie Chicks – You were mine, travelin soilder

Both heavy on meaning. Some people don’t care for their politics or that they are country. I love them anyway.

Dvorak-New world Symphony “Going Home”

A song that helped heal my heart after Matthew. The final movement is worth the entire thing.

Emma

One of my favorite soundtracks. Jonathan dressed up as Mr. Darcy and I went as Emma Woodhouse the Halloween before we met. I thought it was fate. We got married to the main theme.

Enya

SO damn cool, I don’t care how trite anyone says she is. I couldn’t pick a favorite if you paid me. So many massages and great sexual encounters were to this woman.

Erasure

Their new stuff and covers are just as great as their old stuff. Amazing. “You Surround Me” is just HOT…”I’ll place a kiss on the small of your back” SHUDDER.

Farinheit-Keepin’ the dream alive

I’ve loved this one since High School. Very good memories to a lovely orchestral-backed tune.

Flower Duet from Lakme

One of my favorites to listen to. I’ve performed it, but it is a bit difficult because I have always struggled with French diction and my tessitura is slightly too low for the second soprano on this piece. It was still fun and is always a favorite.

Flying Pickets-God we were laughing

No one knows this group, but they are awesome. Only found in the UK, this is my favorite song. It has strong connections for me and is a great a’cappella piece.

I snuck in to see a friend solo in State Solo and Ensamble. They were great, but then the orchestral band played this piece. It is grand and bold, like the wizard himself.

This soundtrack is fantabulous. I tend to like music that has a military/patriotic sound. To my ear, it sounds like James Horner was highly influenced by Carmina Burana.

Killer musical. “I know him so well”. “Someone Else’s story” are MINE. Most people would recognize “One night in Bankok”.

Gosple Mass

I first heard this in high school and fell in love with it. I have had many opportunities to perform in it, solo in it and kife about 3 copies of the score (Which I still have. Blush)

Ah, Blondie. Nothing like getting plowed and dancing your guts out to this song.

Henry V

Patrick Doyal is one of my favorite film composers. “Non Nobis Domine” in this movie is amazing. The music from his St. Crispian’s feast speech (We few, we happy few, we Band of Brothers…) is a favorite.
