This song is simple, sweet, and accompanied by piano and cello. It reminds me of me as a child, listening to my Dad’s opera and entertaining myself in my own head.
Abba-I can’t even select which ones, I love so many.
I remember “Mama Mia†with friends. “Chiciquita†is a favorite, although that Fernando song is ruined for me because of Mr. Drug Dealer who loved my “Fucking Eyesâ€. BLECK!
Aha-Take on Me
Jr. High, Jumping on a trampoline. Pure 80’s bliss
Air Supply-Makin love out of nothing at all is my favorite.
Do I really need to eleaborate here?
Allison Krauss-Deeper than Crying, the loving still remains
I love Allison. Blue grass QUEEN. This song helped me.

LOVE them. “Fallen Angel†is my favorite: “I want your body. I want your soul†and would any High School dance be complete without “Forever Young Primo pawing music.
America, Fuck Ya!-Title song from “Team America, World Policeâ€
Because you just cannot know how brilliant this movie and music is until you watch it.
Angel Lullaby-My turn on earth
I just can’t talk about this one. Sorry.

Love the Bach man. These are my favorites. I got married to Jesu…it is gorgeous.
Band of Brother’s Theme Song
I cry every single time I hear this. It is lilting, gorgeous, simple, yet big and it fills you with pride and melancholy all at the same time.
Beautiful South-Woman in the wall
This has an infectious bass line and weird-ass lyrics. One of my favorites.
Bee Gees
I just love them ALL.
Beethovhan-Mass in C, The 5th
Beethovan Mass in C was my solo debuet with the Honolulu symphony. I was getting ready to rehearse and a freaking lizard jumped on my music and scared the piss out of me. Apparently it climbed up my leg. It is a GREAT Mass that should be done more. Who doesn’t love the 5th?
Billy joel
He’s the man. It reminds me of my accapella group in college. That and high school “And So it Goes†and “Lullaby†are my favorites.
Black Bird Fly
A classic.
Black Swan-The medium
The most challenging opera role of my life. It’s about 200 pgs long. I was in 190 of them and it was atonal (Meaning, what I was singing had no notes in common with the accompaniment). I did get to sing this beautiful duet with my character’s Daughter and it was beautiful.
Carl Orff-Carmina Burana
Loud, clashing and powerful. This is rage music for me. I am afraid that my idea of “Rage music†is pretty pathetic. Ask my friends.
Carpenters
Karen Carpenter has the most gorgeous, natural female voice ever put on this earth. Plus, she has some sweet, low, honey notes in her music that I rock on.
Chicago
This group is pure memories for me. “Hard Habit to Break†could be my anthem.
Chris de Burgh
Known for “Lady in Redâ€, but I don’t like that song. “Carry me†and “For Roseanna†are his best pieces. Very sweet.
City of Angels
This soundtrack just turns me on. Sorry. I won’t get into it. Although, try being caught by a policeman making out in a cemetery with “Unforgiven†playing loudly on your CD player. Long story.
Copeland-Rodeo, Appalachian Spring
The “Beef†song. I love Aaron Copeland. He is rustic and talented and amazing.
Damian Rice- I remember
Formerly “Belle and Sebastianâ€. This song is awesome in it’s duality. â€Want you here tonight want you here. Cause’ I can’t believe what I’ve found.†I am also a sucker for accents.
Dan Folgelburg
Cheesy, but I love him. “Auld Lang Syne†, “Run for the Roses†and “Longer†(Of course).
Debussy-La Mer, Claire De Lune
Who doesn’t love Claire de lune. The most romantic piano piece ever.
Dixie Chicks – You were mine, travelin soilder
Both heavy on meaning. Some people don’t care for their politics or that they are country. I love them anyway.
Dvorak-New world Symphony “Going Homeâ€
A song that helped heal my heart after Matthew. The final movement is worth the entire thing.
Emma
One of my favorite soundtracks. Jonathan dressed up as Mr. Darcy and I went as Emma Woodhouse the Halloween before we met. I thought it was fate. We got married to the main theme.
Enya
SO damn cool, I don’t care how trite anyone says she is. I couldn’t pick a favorite if you paid me. So many massages and great sexual encounters were to this woman.
Erasure
Their new stuff and covers are just as great as their old stuff. Amazing. “You Surround Me†is just HOT…â€I’ll place a kiss on the small of your back†SHUDDER.
Farinheit-Keepin’ the dream alive
I’ve loved this one since High School. Very good memories to a lovely orchestral-backed tune.
Flower Duet from Lakme
One of my favorites to listen to. I’ve performed it, but it is a bit difficult because I have always struggled with French diction and my tessitura is slightly too low for the second soprano on this piece. It was still fun and is always a favorite.
Flying Pickets-God we were laughing
No one knows this group, but they are awesome. Only found in the UK, this is my favorite song. It has strong connections for me and is a great a’cappella piece.
Funky Town
Who says disco is dead?
Gandelf’s theme-Johan de Meij
I snuck in to see a friend solo in State Solo and Ensamble. They were great, but then the orchestral band played this piece. It is grand and bold, like the wizard himself.
Gin Blossoms-Hey, Jealousy
You have to love the early 90’s.
Glory
This soundtrack is fantabulous. I tend to like music that has a military/patriotic sound. To my ear, it sounds like James Horner was highly influenced by Carmina Burana.
Chess
Killer musical. “I know him so wellâ€. “Someone Else’s story†are MINE. Most people would recognize “One night in Bankokâ€.
Gosple Mass
I first heard this in high school and fell in love with it. I have had many opportunities to perform in it, solo in it and kife about 3 copies of the score (Which I still have. Blush)
Heart of Glass
Ah, Blondie. Nothing like getting plowed and dancing your guts out to this song.

Beezlebrok for President
Such a great movie. Such a great song. So many that I love on here were not in the movie, which is a shame.

I will-The Beatles
Jon’s family always brings out a million guitars and sings this before they disperse to their homes after large family gatherings. I want it sung at my funeral.

My favorite Hymns
James-Laid
This is a passionate, loud, great song with sexy lyrics. It could have been written for me.
John Denver
Where to begin? The best natural Male voice in the world. “Looking for space†and “Follow Me†are my favorites of his, but they are all damn good. My first concert.
John Williams
The best film composer ever born
Josh Grobin
“You’re still You†“To Where You Are†and “Remember When It Rainedâ€. Overexposed, sure, but he kicks ASS. These songs are beautiful and painful to me.
Journey
They all rock. They all remind me of someone. Their stuff makes a killer ring-tone, actually. I want to go to their concert in a couple of weeks.
Jurassic Park
This doesn’t have anything to do with the soundtrack except that this was the only music I had on a trip to Hawaii and I faced the whole trip knowing I had to tell my worst secret to someone I loved when I got back from it. It helped me cope with the anxiety.
Kurt Bestor-Prayer of the Children
You wouldn’t know it if you aren’t LDS. Great tune.
Last of the Mohicans
Les Miserables
I have seen this 7/8 who knows? Lots of times. Love it.

This is an incredible soundtrack that didn’t get enough attention.
Messiah
My favorite choral work and classical solo piece.
Miss Siagon
This just rips your heart out. “I Still Believeâ€
Moulin Rouge
This one was so dazzeling. The music was BRILLIANT. My friend calls me Satine. Apparently, his idea of musical nirvana is to see me in this role with a supporting cast of gay men.
Mozart-Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Marriage of Figaro, Requiem
No one needs to justify Mozart.
My Name is James-James and the Giant Peach
My lullaby for James.
Nessun Dorma-
No one sings this like Pavarotti. I used to go under the stage every night and listen to this piece, wishing someone could be there with me to hear how beautiful it was.
NEIL DIAMOND-
I take so much crap for this, but I don’t care. LOVE him. “Penny arcade” “Hello” rips my guts out, throws them on the floor and stomps on them in a gloriously sad way.
October Project- “Adam and Eve”
“I fallen from all I know to keep you here, I need you here. I wonder how far to go, without you here”.
Oingo Boingo
This group reminds me of my husband, Jonathan and when we were dating. “Stay†made me want to bear Danny Elfman’s children. HOT.
Pachabel Cannon in D
Because it just has to be on here, regardless of the fact that my cello-playing husband hates it because of it’s redundancy.
Pop Goes the World-Men without hats
I dig the Brit girl doing the intro. The tune is infectious. You can’t be sad while it’s playing.
Queen
I love the “Highlander Themeâ€. Yes, I have been called a dork for it. I also love “I want to break free†“Boheamian†and “Somebody to loveâ€
REM-Night Swimming
This is my favorite of theirs. It isn’t as well known .It was my first husband’s favorite song and I have many strong memories of him with it.
Romeo and Juliette
I don’t think you can get sexier and more sultry than “Kissing Youâ€
Rufus wainright-Hallelujia
People only see this as the song from Shrek. UH, NO! “She tied you to the kitchen chair, she broke your crown, she cut your hair, and from your lips she drew the Hallelujiaâ€. Pant, pant, pant. Drop dead sexy.
Sarah Mclaughlin-Angel. When she loved me, the rainbow connection
I can’t talk about these.
Say anything
One of the best 80’s flicks ever made. “In your eyes†Oh, yah. The light. The heat!
Secret Garden
My very favorite musical. Has so more memories than even I remember. “A Girl in a Valleyâ€, “Lily’s “Eye’sâ€, “How Could I Ever Knowâ€. Sounds best performed in tunnels and stairwells.
Shennedoh-American Art Song
Christopher’s lullaby when he was a baby and one that I just like to sing. Sweet and simple.
Simon and Garfunkle
These guys still sound amazing (I went to the concert). “Kathy’s song” is my favorite, followed by “The boxer”
Simple Twist of Fate
Not many people know this film, let alone the soundtrack. I worked at a video store with a friend and he introduced me to it. We bought the soundtrack and listened to it on a road trip to lake Powell. I’ll never forget it. The theme just feels like home to me.
Sweet Dreams-Eurythmics
Best bass line ever.
The Chichester Psalms-Leonard Bernstein
Fucking Genius. One of my favorite choral works to perform. I pity the tenors though, it is high and tough.
The Dance-Garth Brookes
Mock this and you die. I love the lyrics. I love the tune. When my first High School boyfriend dumped me on my ass I listened to this song for about a week straight.
The gift to be simple
I love this tune. It was a favorite from the moment it was sung to me in a theater. Yum.
The Last Unicorn
I don’t think that anyone remembers this movie from the 80’s. I loved it. I love the tune. Cheesy, but so what?
The Patriot-
LOVE this. LOVE this. Again with the patriotic feel, but I likes what I likes. I feel better knowing that someone gives Union piccolo players some work…
The SLC Olympic fanfare theme
I love bouncing around my living room to this. It’s my favorite of them all and I HAVE them all.
The Smiths-How soon is now, The Queen is dead
Everyone loves “How soon is now†The one on “Charmedâ€, but I really dig the pub tune from “The Queen is deadâ€
The song remembers when
No comment.

A female who is deeper than I am. Impressive. “Only You†is a FAVE

I know this is an old post and you probably won’t read this comment, but this one just caught my eye because it is just creepy how much we are alike. How in the world can we like all the same things?
LOL Sorry you cringe when someone goes back through your archives. :) I always do that once I find a blog I like, I like to start all the way from the beginning so that way I feel like I know the whole story. I’m just anal like that! If it makes you feel better I can go through them without posting comments. But who doesn’t love comments? :)

Thanks for the advice on credit repair on all of this web-site. Some tips i would offer as advice to people is to give up the actual mentality that they’ll buy at this moment and fork out later. As a society we tend to do this for many things. This includes family vacations, furniture, plus items we would like. However, you’ll want to separate the wants from the needs. As long as you’re working to raise your credit score you really have to make some trade-offs. For example it is possible to shop online to save cash or you can check out second hand shops instead of high-priced department stores with regard to clothing.
